EVENT: Using fire as a land management tool informed by traditional Indigenous and contemporary fire knowledge - Kiewa

WHERE: Baranduda Community Centre at 3 Sage Court Baranduda then into the paddock at 87 Lindsay Road, Kiewa.

MORNING SESSION 9.30 am to 11.15 AM
Will feature:
• Uncle Rod Mason Traditional Fire Knowledge holder;
• Paul Foreman an ecologist will speak about vegetation responses to fire in different situations;
• Phil Brown from the CFA will speak on site safety assessments before burning; and
• Local landholders will share their experiences with burning.
11.15am to 12.30pm LUNCH provided
AFTERNOON SESSION 1.00pm to 3.30pm
Travel to 87 Lindsay Road, Kiewa for burning sites.
Uncle Rod and property owners will share knowledge on fire.
