NORTH East Catchment Management Authority (CMA) wants to hear your ideas and opinions when it conducts a series of 11 forums across north east Victoria.
The Community Catchment Forums will provide all communities with the opportunity to learn more about the landholder and community grants which are now open, help identify ideas and opportunities for potential future funding, and help the North East CMA understand about any environmental issues or concerns affecting a community.
North East CMA Manager Catchment Program Coordination, Leigh Blackmore, said the annual forums were a great way to engage with individuals and groups across north east Victoria.
“The forums are open to all landholders, individuals and community groups. We’d love to see as many people there as possible and hear about the future they would like to see,” Mr Blackmore said.
“This is an opportunity for us to gather information directly from the community that can be communicated back to the Victorian Government and will be considered when shaping future programs in the region. These regional forums are an initiative of the Victorian Government’s Our Catchments Our Communities project.”
