Threatened Species

Threatened Species Project

The Threatened Species Project is about implementing recovery actions for three Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act listed species – Regent Honeyeater, Macquarie Perch and Mountain Swainson-pea.

This project is delivered by Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) and will focus on a threatened species National Recovery Plan for these species. Over the duration of the project, more than 100 community members will be engaged across the catchment to improve knowledge and skills in effective management of threatened flora and fauna.

This project maintains and enhances the health of Biodiversity while operating within the Urban, Lifestyle, Agriculture, Forest and Alpine Landscapes, as defined in the North East Regional Catchment Strategy
