The following list are organisations that SEED is aware of that provide professional development for teachers. Depending on funding the SEED project will be developing a coordinated North East professional development program for teachers relating to the topics of Biodiversity, climate change, waste and water. Experience LandLearns simple and interactive VELS-linked activities which support the incorporation of studies about sustainable agriculture and natural resource management into schools' curricula. These workshops can be developed to cover a range of themes across VELS domains including teaching and learning activities about farming enterprises (cropping, livestock and horticulture), trees, plants and plant growth, pests in agriculture, worms, water, food and food production and soils. |

All programs are incorporate VELS and innovative pedagogies. Utilisation of the Gardens as a teaching resource is highlighted in each program. Sessions can also explore with you ways to use your school gardens to integrate science with the rest of your curriculum and make learning more practical, meaningful and fun. |
