Due to current restrictions and North East CMA staff working from remote locations, no intern intake will occur in September 2020.
The CMA is calling for interested students to submit a short Expression of Interest in March and September each year containing the following information to firstname.lastname@example.org:
- Why you want to intern at the CMA
- Preferred role or project - a list of current projects can be found on the CMA website
- A little about yourself
- up to 2 Referees
Requirements prior to commencing as an intern with the CMA include:
- Police check
- Working with Children Check (depending on tasks required)
- Driver’s license (if required for the position)
The CMA has hosted a number of interns and the enthusiasm and quality of work from students has provided a real benefit to the organisation. Past interns have gained valuable industry experience and have worked in a number of areas including the Delivery Program assisting with the Incentives Program, assisted the Regional Landcare Facilitator to develop and deliver landholder surveys as well as work on feral animal (deer) community information programs, have assisted with our GIS data and other waterway health programs.
