Harrietville Shared Trail Riparian Restoration Project Launch
The North East Catchment Management Authority has completed a riparian restoration project along the Ovens River near Frosty Corner, north of Harrietville.
This project has been designed to enhance and support the ecological and social values of the Harrietville Region along the Ovens River and the Alpine Shire Council’s Shared Trail.
The project has integrated with other regional community projects including a Recreational Fishing Grant application for the construction of fish habitat.
The site is situated along 1.1km of the Ovens River north of Harrietville and includes approx 6ha of riparian vegetation.
