The Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) is undertaking a review of the Basin Plan and is calling for submissions.

North East CMA team at Tallangatta Expo

Our North East CMA team were out and about at the Tallangatta Expo!

The day celebrated sustainable farming, farming equipment and practical ideas for sustainable living, while also providing a great chance to connect with the community and chat about caring for our waterways and landscapes.

Visitors also had some fun matching the fish, with free fishing lures up for grabs for those who got it right!

Even better, all proceeds from the expo were donated to Upper Murray bushfire relief which is supporting a cause close to home. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello!

Post fire recovery planning underway in the Upper Murray

Last week, North East CMA and HVP Plantations staff were on site with Wild Research Pty Ltd Senior Ecologist Glen Johnson, inspecting bushfire‑impacted areas and discussing best‑practice recovery actions for waterways, wetlands and other areas of high conservation value within and adjacent to the plantation estate.

River Guardians Day - Wangaratta

What an incredible day on the river at the end of March! River Guardians Day in Wangaratta saw a fantastic turnout, with around 300 people coming and going over the three-hour event to celebrate our waterways and take action.
