North East CMA welcomes new Board

The North East CMA welcomes the appointment of new Board members. The CMA Board will continue to play a key role in helping people to connect, plan for and manage responses to challenges like climate change and population growth, intensifying land use, and natural disasters such as bushfires and floods. This new Board comprises new and re-appointed members but we also acknowledge our outgoing Board members for their service to the catchment management sector and community.


Victorian Catchment Management Authorities Actions and Achievements Report 2014-15

The Victorian Catchment Management Authorities Actions and Achievements Report provides a standardised ‘output’ approach to reporting actions delivered annually by each of the ten Victorian Catchment Management Authorities (CMAs); through partnerships with government agencies, industry, land managers and the wider community.        


Practitioners gather to ensure best practice in waterway management

The Wise Water Ways conference in being held in Beechworth this week. Now in its 17th year the conference offers waterways practitioners and community members the opportunity to gather, learn and discuss new research and developments in waterways management.


Making a splash about our dedicated Waterwatch volunteers

It's National Water Week and we are celebrating the dedication and hard work of Waterwatch volunteers in our region and the contribution they make to our area.
National Water Week is designed to assist the community to understand and take action to protect and conserve our precious water resources and habitats and the Waterwatch program is a great way to make this happen. Not only does Waterwatch provide opportunities for communities to work together but it is also a great way to learn more about the health of local waterways.
