Landcare groups in North East Victoria will receive over $220,000 for environmental action through the Victorian Landcare Grants. The Victorian Landcare Grants Program supports Landcare and related community groups to undertake projects to protect and restore the Victorian Landscape. Funding for these Grants is provided by the Victorian Government as a way of supporting the community to actively participate in the integrated management and protection of natural resources.
The North East CMA welcomes the appointment of new Board members. The CMA Board will continue to play a key role in helping people to connect, plan for and manage responses to challenges like climate change and population growth, intensifying land use, and natural disasters such as bushfires and floods. This new Board comprises new and re-appointed members but we also acknowledge our outgoing Board members for their service to the catchment management sector and community.
The Victorian Catchment Management Authorities Actions and Achievements Report provides a standardised ‘output’ approach to reporting actions delivered annually by each of the ten Victorian Catchment Management Authorities (CMAs); through partnerships with government agencies, industry, land managers and the wider community.
