Establishing native vegetation on your farm can deliver real benefits in just a few short years. Join us for a guided tour of Arthur Parker’s property in Oxley to see firsthand what works and practical ideas for your own property.

Explore six-year-old native plantings along laneways, in shelterbelts of varying widths and around a farm dam.

This tour will cover:

  • Species selection and placement for easier management, improved wind protection, and effective shade

  • Site preparation and infill planting to maximise survival and achieve consistent shelterbelt density

  • Plant spacing, and why overplanting trees can create problems down the track

  • An open Q&A on what worked, what didn’t, and what we’d do differently next time

This project is supported by the Australian Government through funding from the Natural Heritage Trust under the Climate-Smart Agriculture Program.
