The Victorian Government is giving farmers an extra $75 million to help with drought. This adds to the $69 million already provided, making a total of $144 million in support.
Across the state, the funding will cover:
- Expert advice and mental health support for farmers until June 2026
- Lower fees and charges, plus paused indexation
- The On-farm Kangaroo Control Rebate program
Eligible farmers across Victoria can apply for grants under the Farm Drought Support Grants program (formerly the On-Farm Drought Infrastructure Program).
The grant now covers more activities. Farmers can get help with water carting and pasture re-establishment to help them manage a wide range of challenges.
