The Our Catchments, Our Communities Leadership Development Grants are running again this year and opened at 9am on Monday 18 May and will close at 5pm on 15 June 2026.
The grants provide a great opportunity for individuals in the catchment management / natural resource management sectors to apply for up to $10,000 to support leadership / professional development activities or projects related to catchment management. These are grants that go to individuals, not to organisations.
There are three categories under which you can apply – (1) Aboriginal Leadership, (2) Women in Leadership and (3) Innovation. You can apply under any category (Note that only First Nations people are eligible to apply under the Aboriginal Leadership category).
The grants support early to mid-career individuals working in the natural resource management sector for:
- Government agencies or organisations (DEECA staff are not eligible)
- Traditional Owner organisitions or enterprises
- Private sector
- Local government
- Non-government and not for profit organisations
- Community network or groups
