Landholder and Community Grants

The “Repair of rural fencing and fire control line and stabilisation policy” enables the Victorian Government to pay half the cost of materials to repair or replace bushfire damaged fencing of agricultural land bordering national parks, State parks and State forests to its pre-existing standard.

The Australian Government has introduced the RIC Drought Hardship Loan to support farm businesses experiencing severe and prolonged drought.

The bounty is currently funded to 30 June 2026 and reward payments remain at the increased rate of $14 per fox scalp.

Expressions of interest for Whole Farm Planning courses are now open for landholders impacted by the recent bushfires. A Whole Farm Plan can help design a farm that is easier to manage, more productive and offers environmental benefits.

Agriculture Victoria provides practical help for farmers affected by bushfires

The Victorian Government is giving farmers an extra $75 million to help with drought. This adds to the $69 million already provided, making a total of $144 million in support.
