Threatened Species Day at Chiltern

You are invited to join Trust for Nature and BirdLife Australia for National Threatened Species Day in Chiltern on Friday 7th September.

Learn more about our local threatened species, the projects happening to protect them and how you can get involved. Hear from:

• Dean Ingwersen (BirdLife Australia) on the Regent Honeyeater captive release and community monitoring project, plus the latest in GPS tracking technology
Chris Tzaros (Birds, Bush & Beyond) on the Practical Parrot Action Project, a community conservation project supporting Turquoise Parrot recovery.
Sally Day (Greta Valley Landcare) on the Paddock Tree Project, the first landscape scale project in the north east to tackle paddock tree decline.
Will Ford (Trust for Nature) on practical private land conservation and the latest landholder environment grants.

The day will begin at 10:00 at the Chiltern Senior Citizens Hall with morning tea and several presentations, followed by lunch. We will then travel by car to a private property 10 minutes south of Chiltern for a walk and talk with Dean, Chris, Sally and Will. Afternoon tea will also be provided.

RSVP by 5pm Monday 3rd September to willf@tfn.org.au or 0418 300 959.
