Huon Creek winds through both farmland and suburbs across Wodonga, and it's under growing pressure. Historic land clearing, expanding residential development, and a changing climate have altered how water flows through the catchment, driving erosion, sediment loads, poor water quality, and weed invasion along the creek's riparian corridor and surrounding hills.
The good news? Recent planting events have sparked real community interest in Landcare across the Huon Creek area, from the newer urban estates to the surrounding rural blocks.
