The Victorian Fisheries Authority is aiming to stock another 10 million fish in 2026/27 and it wants your feedback on their plan.
Your input will help shape what fish is stocked and where, ensuring spectacular fishing opportunities for species like Murray cod, golden perch, Aussie bass, estuary perch, brown trout, rainbow trout, Chinook salmon and silver perch.
The VFA will also be talking to anglers through our annual Vic Fish Stock meetings and via representatives from VRFish , OzFish Unlimited, Australian Trout Foundation Inc, along with other fishing groups, angling clubs and agencies.
In suggesting a stocking, we encourage anglers to consider all the factors that create a great fishing spot including public access, species suitability, and fishery performance. Suggestions will then be considered for possible inclusion in our final plan.
