North East CMA team at Tallangatta Expo

When: Wednesday 15 April 2026

Time: 10am to 3pm

Where: Tallangatta Showgrounds

North East Catchment Management Authority staff will join other exhibitors and agencies such as Agriculture Victoria at the 31st Tallangatta Expo on Wednesday 15 April. This free event will be held at the Tallangatta Showgrounds.

The Expo is being hosted by the community in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Tallangatta and Towong Shire.

Entry to the event is free for visitors but they are encouraged to donate to the recovery of the Upper Murray region from the 2026 bushfires through a Rotary donation box, or by buying a raffle ticket for a prize of $2000 worth of firewood.

The Expo will provide CMA staff with the opportunity to meet with the community and share its work in catchment management, as well as other resources it has available to landholders in north east Victoria.

Staff will be available to address questions on projects being undertaken in Landcare, waterway management, fire recovery, species protection and drought resilience.

North East CMA will be offering a fish quiz with giveaways of fishing lures and native plants.

During this international Month of Citizen Science, we will have information on phone apps, such a Merlin Bird Id, INaturalist and FrogId to name a few.

There will also be a suite of information resources to hand out.

Drop in to say hello at the large marquee at the showgrounds with other agencies and have a chat as you enjoy this recovery event and the chance to slow down.
