Calling for Awards Nominations and Favourite Place

Nominate your Heroes

Note:  Closing Date for Awards Nominations has been extended to 14th August

As part of the celebrations of 30 Years of Landcare in Victoria, the North East CMA is now calling for nominations for the 2016 North East Natural Resource Management (NRM) Awards, to celebrate the work of people in the community who make a difference to the region's natural environment.

In addition to the NRM awards, the CMA is running a photo story competition - My Favourite Place.

The North East NRM Awards encourage and recognise the outstanding commitment to our environment demonstrated by a diverse range of individuals and organisations. These awards are run by the North East CMA to recognise the contributions of volunteers and leaders in our community.

Landcare and related community groups, individuals and partner organisations are all encouraged to nominate for any categories.

One entrant from each award category, except Service Awards, will win the category prize and, where possible, be nominated for the 2017 Victorian Landcare Awards.

NRM Awards

Award categories include:

  • Active Service Awards - 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 years 
  • Leadership Award
  • Community Group Award
  • Conservation Award
  • Sustainable Agriculture Award
  • Education Award
  • Partnership Award
  • Indigenous Award

Photo Story Competition  - My Favourite Place

In addition to the above awards, the CMA is running a photo story competition - My Favourite Place.

The CMA is calling for people to portray through an original photo, their connection to the environment of the region. Celebrate the North East’s amazing natural environment through image and story explaining why the place is special for you.
