Beginner Spoon Carving Workshop

Join Nat Ord for a full-day spoon carving workshop where you will learn to carve a cooking spoon from a greenwood blank.

Learn safe hand-carving techniques to create your own spoon to take home and use.

Use of carving tools, materials and lunch are provided.

Workshop is limited to 10 people. Min age 15. Bookings are essential.

This is a free event for Towong Shire Council residents and is delivered in partnership with Upper Murray Landcare Network. This event is to help communities come together and support farmers and farming families under stress and is supported by a #LookOvertheFarmGate grant provided by Agriculture Victoria under the #VictorianGovernment ’s 2025 Drought Support Package

Join Dr Karen Rowe and her Museums Victoria colleagues for a unique workshop that aims to teach you how to explore your own bird and frog audio recordings utilising the freely available acoustic analyses software called BirdNET https://birdnet.cornell.edu/resources


Online look at climate change across Victoria

Two online presentations will address current and possible future climatic conditions that are likely in 2050 across Victoria this week.

Climate experts from the Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) will provide overviews from the state-wide Climate Science Report 2019 as well as climate projections for each region including North East Victoria.
