Macquarie perch reintroduction Community Event - Gapsted

Join the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, the North East CMA and the Wangaratta Sustainability Network  for a Macquarie perch reintroduction Community Event

When: 12 noon - 2.00 pm, Fri 12 May 2017
Where: Gary & Pam Daws property, Ovens River, Gapsted
Why: Participate in the release of adult and sub-adult Macquarie perch translocated from Dartmouth Dam and learn more about this threatened species

This event will also provide an opportunity to learn more about the:
• Role of the North East CMA in waterway management; and,
Wangaratta Sustainability Network – Restoring our Waterways Carp control program.

The Macquarie Perch re-establishment project is jointly funded by the Victorian Government, recreational fishing licence fees and the Target One Million Plan and the Australian Government's National Landcare Programme in collaboration with the North East Catchment Management Authority.
